Deemo

Deemo is an android rhythm game that is developed by Rayark Games, a game developer in Taiwan.

“Never Left Without Saying Goodbye”

This game tells a story about Deemo, a mystical character that lives in a castle, by himself. Deemo is seen to have the ability to play a piano. One day, a little girl falls down from an open trapdoor in the sky. Deemo catches the little girl and he asks who the little girl is. but it seems that the little girl had lost her memories.  Not knowing who she is, or where she comes from, Deemo decides to help the little girl to go back to her world. Deemo comes to realize a tree that keeps growing tall on top of the piano whenever he plays. Deemo thought that he can help the little girl to go back by playing the piano so the tree can grow tall.

Each time the player played a song, the tree will grow a certain meter until it reach the top. The player can also choose the difficulty of the songs, namely Easy, Normal, and Hard. Each songs had its own “Level”  scale. In each level, a black line is affixed at the bottom of the screen, and horizontal bars known as “notes” will approach the line at a perspective from background to foreground. The player must tap on the notes when they coincides with the bottom line in time with the music, resembling playing on a piano. Black notes requires the player to tap it individually, while yellow notes allows the player to slide across in a chain. At the end of each level, the game shows the player’s overall performance in a result screen, providing the proportion of “Charming” hits, the longest chain of  successful hits (Combo), and the overall accuracy in percentage form, with 100% denoting all hits are “Charming”. The level is considered completed when a 65% or up accuracy is achieved.

As the story proceeds, they knew there is a time to say goodbye. What would Deemo do when he gets comfortable with the companionship he never had before? What if the little girl couldn’t stand with the truth when her lost memories regained?
